In Rice varieties


Today i am posting my dad's favorite dish ~Bisi Bele Bhaat.The photos are looking dull. I promise that i will surely better pics as i am conquering my dad's camera :-)
Before that i would like to share my New Year gift from my dad with you all.
What do u say......Cute Naaah....
Tur dal-1 cup
Rice-3 cups
Lady's finger-3 chopped
Green peas-1/4 th cup
Baby corn- 1/2 cup
Tomato-1 sliced
Carrot-2-3 chopped
Onions -2 chopped
MTR Sambar powder- 3-4 tbsps
Bottle gourd-1/2 cup made into pieces
Water-8 cups
sugar-a pinch
Ghee-4 tbsps
Roasted cashew-handful
oil-3 tbsps
Tamarind paste-4 tbsps
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Dry red chilli-4
Curry leaves-1 stem
Ghee-2 tbsps
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Curry leaves- handful
Dry red chilli-2
Dry roast tur dal.Add oil in a pressure cooker and fry mustard seeds,red chilli ,curry leaves,turmeric(pinch).To this fried mixture,add roasted dal, rice, chopped veggies,water, MTR sambar powder,salt, tamarind pulp, sugar, cashew, ghee and coriander.Mix all the ingredients well and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.
Lastly for tadka, add ghee,1/2 tsp mustard seeds,2-3 stems curry leaves and 2 dry red chilli.Fry and add it to the prepared rice.Mix well and then serve.
Serve hot along with chips or Haldirams all in one mixture or Rings.
